In the wild, there is a constant battle for survival. Even the peaceable giraffes at the watering hole in the Etosha National Park in Namibia sometimes find themselves fighting for the best patch by the water's edge. Reiner Harscher filmed the territorial struggle of giraffes at a watering hole on the edge of the Etosha Pan.

Around two thirds of our planet are covered with water, almost all of which is in the oceans. The oceans contain an enormous diversity of plant and animal life. Reiner Harscher has produced some amazing footage both under the water and over it.

At the edge of the Etosha Pan in the Etosha National Park in Namibia, zebras pass peacefully by a watering hole. At the same time, a family of lions plays with a falcon until the bird stops moving. Reiner Harscher filmed the daily fight for survival in the animal kingdom.

In desert regions, even the smallest puddle attracts flocks of birds within minutes. Cape Sparrows breed in thorny bushes on the edge of the desert and are constantly in search of water. Reiner Harscher filmed the acrobatic tricks of these thirsty little birds as they search for water.
