You can search for images either on our website at www.laif.de or using your I-picturemaxx-Account. Our digital archive grows and is updated from day to day. By means of various channels/places and various ways of refining your search, we can ensure that all the material we have to offer remains clearly organized and straightforward.

We are very happy to help you with your picture search and will supply you with selections of images according to your precise requirements.

Just send us some details about the kind of images you are looking for. We'll be happy to provide you with information also concerning new material and current projects on which our photographers are working.

Please bear in mind that there will be processing fees if we carry out a picture search that you have requested and send you an appropriate selection of images. The fee will be determined by the length and scope of research work needed.

Fees & Usage Rights

In order to know what kind of costs will be facing you if legal restrictions apply to publishing an image, you can use the following form to send us a non-binding inquiry. Or just give us a call! Your personal adviser will give you competent instructions on the licensing of photographs or features. We calculate our fees according to the going rates recommended by the ‘Mittelstandsgemeinschaft Foto-Marketing' (MFM). In special cases we will work with you in order to find convenient solutions.

Digital Technology

Making sure that you can use our database and data transfer without any problems at any time of day is something that we take for granted. So that all errors can be ruled out from the start, our photographers work with the most up-to-date digital cameras and carry out digital imaging to professional standards. At our agency, every image is opened and inspected and we use only state-of-the-art scanning equipment. You will receive optimised data from small to panoramic sizes and from photographic previews to transparencies. All of the machines that we work with are standardized and formatted. Our results are above average because our employees view each picture individually - you won't find any automatic scans at laif.

Since 1.1.2005 laif's standard for digital images is a 25MB file using the RGB-colour space (Adobe RGB, ECI- or sRGB), older images are usually available in 18 MB. You will find that this file size guarantees ideal printing results when dealing with formats of up to a full page of size A4. We often have larger files in the agency - just have a look at the image caption, which indicates the size of the available file. Don't worry if you need a higher resolution for your product. We are imemdiately able to obtain RAWs or TIFs if they are available or rescan copies until they reach their technical limits, if this is what you require.

All of our image files are inscribed according to ITPC. This means you have important information at your fingertips at any time.
