The Stadthaus Ulm is the second stop of the exhibition after Cologne.

About the exhibition

On the occasion of laif’s 40th anniversary, 40 selected positions of documentary and journalistic photography from 1981 to 2021 are presented. The works reflect the world on the basis of its conflicts and fault lines, but also show how art and solidarity connect people. Furthermore, they reflect the aesthetic development of documentary photography from the 1980s until today. The exhibition was curated by laif photographer Peter Bialobrzeski with the collaboration of Peter Bitzer and Manfred Linke. Design: Sarah Fricke and Lea Sievertsen/Distaff Studio.
