We are happy to announce that the laif agency came under the ownership of the newly founded laif cooperative on 1 July 2022. Established by laif photographers in the spring of 2022, the cooperative is now supported by over 300 members including photographers, photo editors, and dedicated citizens.

This take-over by the laif photographers shows that autonomy and independence are vital for the future of auteur photography and photojournalism.

We at laif are proud and embrace this special collaboration with our photographers as well as the possibilities this new ownership situation provides.
